Getting saved by GCC

Living in a Northampton rooming house in 1979 - with zero skills or direction - I entered a CETA worker training program and was encouraged to enroll at GCC. GCC gave me a great education, skills and self-esteem - everything I needed to make my own way. After the associate degree from GCC, then a BS from UMass, then a Master's from Rutgers, I created a life worth living. GCC saved my life.

Mike - I added some more descriptive (I hope) language to the user group. Once you sign up for the CAMP user group, scroll down to the list of discussion groups. You'll see one for library science - click on "reply" to that group with some information about your interest and it will put your picture/link next to that career field so students will know how to find you.
Sorry it's complicated -we're trying to do a lot in a little space...

Hi, Mike - this is great; thanks so much for signing up. Please don't forget the last step, which is to join the CAMP user group and then post a quick reply to the appropriate Discussion Group (library science, in your case), so students will know how to find you.
Best regards,
Regina

Howdy,
I'm an Outdoor Leadership Program alum from 82, and I'm now a writer for GCC. I'm writing an article about the launch of AlumNet and would love to chat or email with you about what you hope to get from being on AlumNet. Check out my member page here. If you're willing to chat/email, please contact me at mmcclinto@yahoo.com.
Thanks!
Mary

Hi, Mike - welcome to the Alumni Association! I'm so glad you joined both the Association and signed up for our new social networking site. I love your story - I just shared it (without your name attached) to folks here at GCC so we can all be reminded about our mission.
I would like to be in touch with you at some point to talk more.
Best regards,
Regina
