I teach and learn with my students about group dynamics and development, leadership and creating healthy learning communities. We use direct experience through the outdoors and adventure as a medium for growth and change. We call our classroom a "living laboratory." If you are interested in alternative, hands-on learning approaches employing the philsophies and practices of experiential education, you might want to check out what we do at the Outdoor Leadership Program. If you aren't sure about experiential education, check out the Association for Experiential Education at www.aee.org - this is our accrediting organization. Feel free to be in touch if you want to learn more about our unique approach to education at OLP.
